Backorders allow products not instock to still be ordered. A default message will be shown. Show Pony Graphics can manually customise this message if needed. Please contact us.
To set a product on back-order
Go to Products > All products
Select the product you want to edit, and click on edit.
Simple Product
Select whether to allow Backorders from the dropdown, if you are managing stock on a product.
To allow backorders, the Stock status must be set to In Stock even though the Stock Quantity is 0 or less.
Variable Product
If your product has variations, and stock management is enabled, you need to do this on each variation.
Click the Variations tab
Click on the variation already set up to edit the options.
Click on Manage Stock
