Once you have set up your email account in the cpanel control panel, you can use these settings to connect to your account using an external program such as outlook, your phone etc.
Please note:
IMAP: stores emails on the server, this uses up your account space, and will use it up quickly. if you want to use this option, you will most likely need to purchase more space for your account.
POP3: stores emails locally on your computer, does not use server space, however it means you cant read stored emails across multiple devices.
Secure SSL Settings (RECOMMENDED)
USERNAME: (your full email address) i.e user@yourdomain.com.au
PASSWORD: The password set up for your email account.
Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com.au (replace .yourdomain.com.au with your actual web address)
PORTS:
- IMAP Port: 993
- POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com.au (replace .yourdomain.com.au with your actual web address)
- Port: 465
IMPORTANT: IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication, For both incoming and outgoing servers.
